Der Kleine Prinz

A beautiful story that I came to know while living in Germany was Der Kleine Prinz - the Little Prince, which I have since learned is very famous in many countries but originated in France. It follows the story of a young prince who visits planets in search of friendship and purpose.

It is one of the best selling books in history, and the most translated (non-religious) text - translated into 500 languages!
